Let us introduce ourselves

ABOUT OUR ACADEMY

We are a Tennis Family who assist in the promotion and introduction of tennis in St. Lucia. We believe that we have a responsibility in providing excellent quality tennis not only for our members but for all residents and visitors in our wider community.

Acers is now the leading Tennis Academy in St Lucia, We pride ourselves in providing the environment and opportunities needed for young performance tennis players to thrive in their tennis journey. It is evident that the personalized approach we take ensures that our players progress on their individual pathways while flourishing as part of our club teams and national teams representing St .Lucia at all major events.

A key priority is to connect communities with tennis - and involvement with the Acers Tennis Club exemplifies the positive impact this can have. Most importantly, it can help improve engagement and culture within the school community. "We hope to have Tennis be the cornerstone of the school's culture and become the preferred sport of choice in this/our community," We are hoping to send a clear message to our community that they are important and also give them the opportunity to participate in a wonderful sporting endeavor that we make accessible for all.

Head Coach

SCYLA MURRAY

As a young girl growing up I always wanted to play tennis, at the time only the elite in society played the sport and my family could not afford. I got the opportunity to play for the first time at the National Tennis Centre in Beausejour when I was 22 years old. I learnt quickly because I am a sports person who played many other sports before. I then took on coaching Play and Stay. I further went on to pursue my career as a coach and did my level one coaching course.

I have traveled with junior teams as captain having some of my players who I am proud of.

My aim is to provide opportunities for players to play tennis which were my dreams as a young girl. It brings me great joy when I see Grassroots players compete and dominate the sport that I couldn't have played when I was a child.
